History is about understanding human beings.

It examines the transition process of humanity and analyzes the various aspects of society. Also, it recognizes the specificity and universality of human existence, which is the current status of human beings and to search for wisdom and direction for the future.

We focus on understanding human history by systematically classifying it into Korean, Eastern, and Western history. Each field is subdivided into ancient history, medieval history, and modern history, as well as politics, economy, society, and culture. By studying and comparing history from a diverse perspective, students are encouraged to have the proper historical consciousness and contribute to social development and cultural creation. Also, students will have opportunities to see the relics and artifacts through regular field study each semester, analyzing the remains and expanding their knowledge of tradition and heritage.
