At the Dept. of English Language and Literature, students will learn English language and English literature in an academic setting. We train students to communicate in English fluently and nurture their talent and abilities to match the values required by society.

In English language studies, the students will learn basic linguistic knowledge and new English theories to analyze the process of English development and syntactic changes in detail. In English literature studies, students will develop the ability to comprehend academic and non-academic literature and classify works by genre to better understand English and American literature through philosophical and ideological backgrounds.
